Welcome To Girlchild.com's Very First Blog!

Hello there. Thank you for taking time to visit my new blog. I am so delighted to announce the launch of Girlchild.com and I hope you have a wonderful experience and learn a lot from the content. I guess I need to explain myself briefly here and why I created the blog. Let me rewind a little bit and tell you how it all started. 

Growing up I always had limitations and stigmatization. I never understood why I had to be kind, respect my body or dress conservatively. All I knew was that I was a girl child and that is how a girl child is supposed to live.

It was surprising to discover that was far from the truth. Gender bias was never normal, but was normalized. It's been my goal from the beginning to illustrate the life of a girl child. How society, culture, patriarchy and all these forces shape our reality.

When I decided to write Girlchild.com I was very much aware that so many narratives have been told on gender bias but few of them fully spelled out the life of a girl child, how being a girl child looks like. I was eager for more individuals to know of our journey and it was going to be through this blog for it to happen. Reading this means that you're also eager to know of our small world and I'm so glad that you're curious and if you're a She, you're definitely going to resonate and add more.

Through this blog, I plan to show young women and old how our entire lives have been shaped. I will also show them what we can do to liberate ourselves. Seeing young women and old have a safe place to discuss their daily experiences and pasts will be of great joy to me. Hence I implemented Girlchild.com.
