Hello there. Thank you for taking time to visit my new blog. I am so delighted to announce the launch of Girlchild.com and I hope you have a wonderful experience and learn a lot from the content. I guess I need to explain myself briefly here and why I created the blog. Let me rewind a little bit and tell you how it all started.  Growing up I always had limitations and stigmatization. I never understood why I had to be kind, respect my body or dress conservatively. All I knew was that I was a girl child and that is how a girl child is supposed to live. It was surprising to discover that was far from the truth. Gender bias was never normal, but was normalized. It's been my goal from the beginning to illustrate the life of a girl child. How society, culture, patriarchy and all these forces shape our reality.
